Matchbox 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000 GTX (MB1022)

Matchbox has recently released its second version of the '71 Skyline as part of the 2017 Regular Series. I'm not up on JDM, but this is a nice looking model. I did a quick search, and have no idea if the color is accurate, but the color and tampos look good.

Hot Wheels 1973 Custom Datsun 240Z from 2017 Mainline (DTW89)

Here is a new model from the 2017 Hot Wheels Mainline - the Custom Datsun 240Z (DTW89), It is from the Factory Fresh series, and looks really good. From the card back: Specialty: A naturally aspirated inline 6 motor with ITBs, wide body kit, deep bucket seats and a full roll cage make this custom Datsun 240Z the ultimate canyon carver! Check out the fender-mounted rear-view mirrors and watch the competition fade into the distance as you step on the gas.

1/32 scale 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C by New Ray.

I got this model years ago, and if I remember correctly, it was 3 to 4 bucks. New Ray does good work and has a nice level of detail for the price. Here is the 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C in 1/32nd scale. Don't like the paint scheme, but I like the working doors and the interior looks sharp.

Yat Ming Jaguar E4.2 (#1010)

I picked this 2-pack at a recent show. Not a fan of the wheels, but like the casting. As a kid I wouldn't have bother getting this, but as a collector I like the variety Yat Ming offered, and hope to add more to my collection.

BMW 2002 (DHX90) - ZAMAC version from the 2016 Mainline

This is the ZAMAC version of the BMW 2002 (DHX90) from the 2016 Mainline. Hot Wheels made some good choices for its recent ZAMAC versions. This is 1 of 5 from the BMW segment.

Hot Wheels BMW 850i (24107) from 1999 Mainline

Adding some of the older Hot Wheels to my collection, and I picked up this at a flea market, carded, for 2 for $1. Wheels could be a little nicer, but I like it over all. This is Collector #1093.

Hot Wheels '90 Acura NSX from 2016 Then and Now series

Here is Hot Wheels '90 Acura NSX (DHR18) from the 2016 mainline. It is part of the Then and Now series. The "now" counterpart, as of today, still has not been released. I like the Then and Now series, and think that Hot Wheels did a nice job on both the selection of models for it, and the color scheme chosen for the models. The NSX has great lines in this scale.

From the box: "CLASSIC RIDE It's a drive down memory lane when these classic rides are cruising around the neighborhood! With nostalgic silhouettes and engines that still give a thrilling performance, these vehicles stop every car enthusiast in their tracks!"

First off is the Ford GT40 (MB995)

Hot Wheels Aston Martin 1963 DB5 (CFN80) - 2015 Heritage Real Riders (15 of 18)

British Racing Green is probably my favorite color (or colour), so I was excited to see the DB5 painted in it with racing numbers and premium wheels.

Hot Wheels Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (CFN97) - 11 of 18 from the Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series

This has been was the most difficult model from the Heritage series for me to find on the pegs. Here is the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (CFN97). It is the 11th release (of 18) from the Heritage Redline series. I like the paint and the tampos, so happy overall with the model.

Hot Wheels Porsche 911 Carrera (57187) - 2003 Final Run

The "final run" of Hot Wheels Porsche 911 Carrera (57187). From 2003 Mainline. Apparently this is an ex-Corgi mold. Not my favorite - lacks detail, and seems real basic. Even the tamps can't save this. Seems clunky.

Hot Wheels Toyota Supra (CFH90) - 2015 Mainline (201/250)

Japanese cars are getting some real love from Mattel. Here is Hot Wheels Toyota Supra (CFH90) from the 2015 Mainline. Don't understand the mis-matched rims, but that seems to be the style for drift cars.

auto world 2014 Dodge Viper SRT

For whatever reason I have focused my collecting, in part, on 3 different car models - the Chevrolet Covette, the Ford Mustang, and the Dodge Viper. Here is auto world's version of the 2014 Dodge Viper SRT. The paint job really shines, and this is a great little model overall.

Hot Wheels Tesla Roadster (DHT28) from 2016 Mainline Green Speed

Here is another 2016 offering from Hot Wheels. It's the Tesla Roadster (DHT28) from the HW Green Speed segment. Wheels aren't my favorite, but otherwise a solid model.

Hot Wheels Honda S2000 - 2015 Kmart exclusive

Here is another Kmart exclusive - the Honda S2000 in Tein livery ("For your driving pleasure). It is from 2015 Mainline HW Performance segment and is 17 of 250. The green splotches overlap the white lettering on the tampos and just look messy, and I don't care for the green-tinted glass. Got it more for the casting than the particular version, to be honest.

Don't miss out on a chance to win free diecast car from me - details are here.

Motor Max "Down Town" diorama with 1956 Ford Thunderbird - American Graffiti series

Got this recently off of eBay. I like the '56 T-Bird, and remember the one driven by Suzanne Summers in American Graffiti. Got this more for the diorama, though. Finding things to match 1/64 scale is difficult at times.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment - Toyota 2000GT Roadster from James Bond You Only Live Twice

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment version of the 1967 Toyota 2000GT Roadster as featured in James Bond You Only Live Twice. This car was specially built for the film, and the two examples built for the film are the only two convertible versions of this vehicle. Connery was too tall for a standard version, and a convertible is more sporty. The movie car was driven by Bond Girl Aki.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Aston Martin DBS from Casino Royale

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Aston Martin DBS (BDV05) as seen in James Bond Casino Royale.
Real Rider wheels, metal base, and nicer tampos justify a higher price for these, which run around $5 as compared to $1 for the mainline version.
