Motor Max "Fresh Cherries" AMC 1974 Hornet

Another staple from the mid-seventies - a 1974 AMC Hornet. Paint, details, and markings all look great. From the card back:

The AMC Hornet was introduced in 1970 to replacement (sic) the Rambler American. While the Hornet was only offered in 2-door and 4-door models in its first year, by 1974 the Hornet was also offered as a wagon and a hatchback. The wagon and hatchback versions were clearly the most popular models that year, and they accounted for over 126,000 of the 186,000 Hornets sold in 1974.

Hot Wheels Greased Gremlin from 2012 5-Pack Demolition Derby (W4255)

I originally got this 5-pack as I wanted the Back Slider, but have come to love the Greased Gremlin. It is a re-tool of a 1979 model. Even though I've lived in Indianapolis my whole life, I've never been to the Indy 500; I have been to a demolition derby, though, and I have fond memories of it. Also, I like cars produced by AMC in the seventies, including the Javelin, the Pacer, and the Gremlin, so this casting is an obvious choice for me in retrospect.

Another offering from Motor Max - the 1978 AMC Pacer. From the packaging: The Pacer was designed by Richard Teague in 1971 and first produced by AMC in 1975. Its round design was ahead of its time. A total of slightly over 280,000 were made during its 6 model years. It was offered as a comfortable, economy small car with a lot of glass for great visibility. Very few of these are still running, and the ones that do, are classified as collectibles.
