Hot Wheels Jaguar D-Type (B0945) from 2003 Hall of Fame series

I am slowly adding the models from the 2003 Hall of Fame series to my collection. Here is the Jaguar D-Type from the Milestone Moments segment. From the card back: The D Type was designed to replace the C Type and to continue Jaguar's competition successes. The D Type achieved its goal by winning Le Mans in 1955, '56 and again in '57, when Jaguar dominated the race finishing first, second, third, fourth and sixth. The D Type legend was born. In 1957, the Number 6, D Type driven by Mike Hawthorn and Ivor Bueb led from the start and proved to be a worthy winner. Hawthorn and Bueb gave the spectators one of the most astonishing displays of racing Le Mans had ever seen.

Hot Wheels Ford GT40 - 2000 Mainline

Hot Wheels has used this casting of the Ford GT40 a number of times. Here is the version from the 2000 mainline (collector #139). It is item # 27104. Also an excuse to try out different settings on my camera.

Hot Wheels Cadillac LMP (Le Mans Prototype) (28742) - from 2001 Mainline New Editions

In 2000 Cadillac decided to re-enter Le Mans racing and built the LMP (Le Mans Prototype). In 2001 Hot Wheels released their version of the Cadillac LMP (28742). It is a great representation of the real thing. I don't follow Le Mans, but the race cars have a certain flair to them.

Hot Wheels Porsche 917K (CFN62) from 2015 Heritage Real Riders series (18 of 18)

This casting doesn't seem to get used much - first released in 1999, it appears that this is the 7th time Hot Wheels has released a variant of it, usually, as here, in a premium series. This is the Porsche 917-K (or 917K) (CFN62), the final release from the 2015 Heritage Real Riders series. It's a great little model, and I especially like the wheels chosen for this outing.

2016 Hot Wheels Target exclusive - 24 Ours Snowflake Edition (DLP31)

Hot Wheels has again released Snow Flake cards, timed to hit the stores around the Holidays, exclusively at Target. Included is a version of 24 Ours. From the card back: Exclusive Deco! Specialty: With a low drag body for max speed, ducting for max airflow, and a V8 engine, this endurance car takes racing to the max!

Hot Wheels 24 Ours - a Le Mans racer from the 2014 Mainline

When I was thinking about this model, I was thinking along the lines of Hot Wheels castings that should be real cars. Then I discovered that, according to a Hot Wheels wikia, the 24 Ours is based on Peugeot 908 Le Mans racer, so it's not quite what I meant. This casting is great at representing the car its based on, and I own a couple of variants of it. This is the 2014 Mainline version (164/250), and is part of the Track Aces segment.
