Last of my James Bond cars - a 1984 Corvette C4 as seen in James Bond A View to a Kill. This is the new release issued as part of Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment line. I especially like the wheels on this model.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment - Toyota 2000GT Roadster from James Bond You Only Live Twice

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment version of the 1967 Toyota 2000GT Roadster as featured in James Bond You Only Live Twice. This car was specially built for the film, and the two examples built for the film are the only two convertible versions of this vehicle. Connery was too tall for a standard version, and a convertible is more sporty. The movie car was driven by Bond Girl Aki.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Aston Martin DBS (BDV05) as seen in James Bond Casino Royale.
Real Rider wheels, metal base, and nicer tampos justify a higher price for these, which run around $5 as compared to $1 for the mainline version.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Aston Martin 1963 DB5 from Goldfinger

Retro Entertainment version of the Aston Martin 1963 DB5 (BDV04) from James Bond Goldfinger. Real Riders wheels, and nicer tampos than on the Mainline version. Also, the paint, in my opinion, seems to be of a higher quality and is definitely a different shade.

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment models are more expensive than the mainlines, and usually have additional features (as here) or have Real Rider wheels and nicer tampos. This is the Lotus Esprit S1 (BDT92) in submarine mode from James Bond The Spy Who Loved Me. The fins are movable on this model.

Hot Wheels Aston Martin 1963 DB5 - Mainline Version

Another James Bond Hot Wheel, this time the 2014 mainline (BFF99, 200 of 250) Aston Martin 1963 DB5. From package "Most famous for being featured in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger, and more recently in the 2012 film Skyfall. Regarded by many as the most famous car in the world"

Shell Premium - Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger

Another premium for Shell Helix that I got at the Pound store. This is the Aston Martin DB5 as seen in James Bond Goldfinger. Made by Tic Toc, I can only assume that they were given out with a fill-up from Shell.

The display case is a nice touch.

Shell Premium - Aston Martin DBS from Quantum of Solace

Another Shell Helix premium I got at the Pound store in Liverpool - an Aston Martin DBS as shown in James Bond Quantum of Solace. I do appreciate the display case with the movie poster in the background. This series was produced by Chinese manufacturer Tic Toc.

Johnny Lighting Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger

I picked up this model loose from a local seller that specializes in Hot Wheels (its a great store in a local Flea Market - I can get carded models, either Matchbox or Hot Wheels, for as little as 2 for $1). Of the different versions of the DB5 that I own, this one is my favorite.

This casting has nice tampos, rubber wheels, and includes the side mirrors.

Hot Wheels Mustang Mach 1 from Diamonds Are Forever

Another version of the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 as shown in James Bond Diamonds are Forever. This is from Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment line (item # BDV01) so it has a metal base and is on rubber tires.

Hot Wheels Lotus Esprit S1 - Mainline Version

Lotus Esprit S1 that was released earlier this year as part of the Mainline Series. From the box art - Specialty: British Supercar powered by the Lotus 970 4-cylinder engine. It's probably most famous for the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, where it was featured in a long chase sequence and was transformed into a submarine.

Hot Wheels Walmart James Bond Series - 1963 Aston Martin DB5

Here is the 1963 Aston Martin DB5 that made a re-appearance for the 2012 film Skyfall. Skyfall is one of the few Bond movies that I've seen, and I did enjoy it. The appearance of the classic Aston Martin did seem forced, however, and felt more like an applause line for the audience.

Hot Wheels did a great job on the card art from this.

Hot Wheels Walmart James Bond Series - Lincoln Continental

The third car in the Hot Wheels 007 Series is the 1964 Lincoln Continental shown in Goldfinger. 

I am excited for this release. Really like the '64 Lincoln with the suicide doors, and Hot Wheels has done a nice job with this version. I have other examples of the Continental from Hot Wheels, but the tampos are unattractive or the windows are tinted. This looks stock and realistic.

Number 2 in the Walmart 007 series is this 1971 Mustang Mach 1 (part number CGB73) from Diamonds are Forever. Love the artwork that Mattel did for these.

Hot Wheels Walmart James Bond Series - Aston Martin DBS

Hot Wheels is releasing a number of Walmart only series, and the most recent one is a 5-car series of James Bond vehicles.

The casting (or at least 1 of the versions of this casting) has this as a 2010 Aston Martin DBS, but Casino Royale utilized a 2007 DBS. I'm not even going to pretend to know the differences, if any, between the model years. Given that this costs about a buck, can't complain as this is a nice looking model.

James Bond diecast - BMW Z3

Another premium offered by Shell Helix that I picked up at a "Pound Store" - the BMW Z3 from Goldeneye.

Comes with a nice little acrylic display case and movie billboard.

James Bond's Lotus Esprit

Just returned from a trip to Liverpool and London. Wife had to go for work, and I was able to accompany her. During the flight I listened to a podcast from Plaid Stallions covering, in part, James Bond-themed toys. Now, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Bond. I saw Moonraker as a kid, along with A View to a Kill, and I'll watch the newer films. But I can't say I'm that familiar with the catalog. The toys, on the other hand, are pretty neat. A neighbor of mine when growing up was British, and he had some of the Corgi toys, including the Lotus Esprit. I still remember how cool it was and how imaginative it was, with the spring loaded fins and firing missiles.

I was quite surprised when Hot Wheels recently released some of the Bond cars, and I have some of them. And I was really pleased when I stumbled across some diecast cars in the pound shop in Liverpool. They are apparently a Shell premium, and as far as I can tell there are 5 in the set. First up is the Lotus Esprit.
