Hot Wheels Island Hopper (CFV11)

This was released as part of the 2015 Holiday series available at Walmart. Here is Hot Wheels Island Hopper (CFV11). I picked up a few as they are clearly inspired by the Army's OH-6 Cayuse. The goal is to repaint them black and use them as cheap air assets in wargaming. It will eventually be covered or stripped, but I do like the graphics on this, and like the snowman logo used here. The figure is from a HALO set from McFarlane Toys.

Matchbox Jeep Willys 4x4 (MB955)

Another recent Matchbox offering - here is the Jeep Willys 4x4. I love the slab-slided look of it, and it really shows its roots from the humble WW II jeep. Matchbox is really adding some nice castings to its line, and I'm looking forward to their 2016 offerings. Can't tell with just a cursory search what year this model represents.

Matchbox 2015 Ford F-150 Contractor Truck (MB970)

I've  only found one of these on the pegs, so they are either rare, popular, or both. Here is one of Matchbox's recent offerings, the '15 Ford F-150 Contractor Truck, MB970. The decals are well done, and it is a good representation of its subject. Will look good on any construction site.

Castline M2 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi - Walmart exclusive

I'm a big MOPAR fan, so was happy to add this model to my collection. M2 does a good job on this casting, but I would have preferred non-operational doors. The passenger side door especially seems out of whack. Don't know enough about drag racing to know if this is based on a real car - I think that SS/B means super stock B class, but not even sure of that.

Hot Wheels 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (CFR28) - 2015 Entertainment series "The Brady Bunch"

I think this may be the first version of the '56 Chevy convertible Hot Wheels has released. Based on a car that appeared in a Brady Bunch episode, the '56 Chevy (CFR28) is from the 2015 Entertainment series. Decided to try out some different filters.

Hot Wheels '74 Checker Taxi Cab (CFR35) from 2015 Entertainment series

A cab from the TV show "Taxi". Here is Hot Wheels '74 Checker Taxi cab (CFR35) from the 2015 Entertainment series. As a premium model, it runs around $4.00, and features metal body/metal chassis, and Real Riders wheels. I like the box art and how it incorporates a map of NYC.

Matchbox premium Supreme Hero - International Pumper (MB877)

Here is one of the offerings from Matchbox's Supreme Hero line. It's the International Pumper (MB877), and sports rubber tires and nicer tampos. Great looking model - the decals for the dials really impress me.

Hot Wheels Delorean Time Machine - hover mode (CFR15) - 2015 Entertainment Back to The Future part III

Here is Hot Wheels Delorean Time Machine (hover mode) (CFR15) from Back to the Future part III. From the 2015 Entertainment series.

Hot Wheels Fiat 500 Police (CFH70) from 2015 Mainline

I like police cars and I like Fiats, so this was a natural choice to add to my collection. It apparently was going to be a Treasure Hunt, but things must have changed. The card still has the emblem, but the model just appears to be a regular. The Fiat 500 (CFH70) from the 2015 Mainline (50/250) HW Rescue segment.

Matchbox 2015 5-pack Police Squad (CJM03)

Matchbox 5-pack "Police Squad" (item #CJM03). Great choice of models included. Matchbox does a great job on police vehicles, as can be seen here. From the packaging:
"When dispatch sounds the alarm, the police squad races to answer the call. From aerial surveillance to heavy armored cars, every inch of the scene is covered until justice prevails!"

First off is Rescue Helicopter (MB541). The tail boom extends and collapses so the model can fit in standard carrying cases.

Matchbox 2015 Classic Ride 5-pack

From the box: "CLASSIC RIDE It's a drive down memory lane when these classic rides are cruising around the neighborhood! With nostalgic silhouettes and engines that still give a thrilling performance, these vehicles stop every car enthusiast in their tracks!"

First off is the Ford GT40 (MB995)

Happy Holidays - 2015 Hot Wheels Holiday Hot Rods (3 of 6) - Ford 2010 Shelby GT500 Supersnake (CFV13)

The Hot Wheels Holiday cars are really "hit and miss" for me. I like the recent offerings, and I picked up 4 of the 6 from the Holiday Hot Rods. I couldn't find the Gangster Grin, and didn't like the GT-03. Here is the '10 Shelby GT500 Supersnake (CFV13).

Hot Wheels Neet Streeter (CFN79) from 2015 HW Heritage Real Riders (14 of 18)

Here is the 14th release from Hot Wheels 2015 Heritage Real Riders series. It is Neet Streeter (CFN79), a hot rod that looks great in flat black with flames. The wheels are a good choice for this, and I imagine this car at a show.

Hot Wheels Porsche 917K (CFN62) from 2015 Heritage Real Riders series (18 of 18)

This casting doesn't seem to get used much - first released in 1999, it appears that this is the 7th time Hot Wheels has released a variant of it, usually, as here, in a premium series. This is the Porsche 917-K (or 917K) (CFN62), the final release from the 2015 Heritage Real Riders series. It's a great little model, and I especially like the wheels chosen for this outing.

Hot Wheels Then and Now - '65 Mustang 2+2 Fastback (CFM01) and '15 Ford Mustang GT (CFJ48) from the 2015 Mainline

I really enjoy the Then and Now segment. I haven't looked at all of the pairings, but I like what I've seen. Like here, the pairing of these two Mustang castings - the tampos look unique and show well on both the old and new models. Here are the 2015 Mainline castings of the '65 Mustang 2+2 Fastback (CFM01) and the '15 Ford Mustang GT (CFJ48).

Hot Wheels Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (CFN97) - 11 of 18 from the Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series

This has been was the most difficult model from the Heritage series for me to find on the pegs. Here is the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (CFN97). It is the 11th release (of 18) from the Heritage Redline series. I like the paint and the tampos, so happy overall with the model.

Hot Wheels Toyota Supra (CFH90) - 2015 Mainline (201/250)

Japanese cars are getting some real love from Mattel. Here is Hot Wheels Toyota Supra (CFH90) from the 2015 Mainline. Don't understand the mis-matched rims, but that seems to be the style for drift cars.

Hot Wheels Tumbler Camouflage Version (CFR16) - Retro Entertainment series

The Hot Wheels Entertainment series version of the Tumbler (CFR16), camouflage version. As this is a premium model, it has metal base and body and also has rubber wheels. The tampos are also a little nicer in my opinion. The Batman figures are from Zerboz. Got them at Kroger, but haven't seen them in a while, and was never able to get the complete set.

Hot Wheels '70 Camaro (CFN57) - 10 of 18 from the Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series

The 1970 Camaro (CFN57) casting as part of the Heritage Redline series. This casting was first released in 2011, and has around 10 or so variants. Like the racing livery here, but my example has bad decals - the driver side tampo is slightly skewed, and is noticeable around the front wheel well. It is a good model overall, and I especially like the slightly "tinted" windows.

Hot Wheels '84 Ford Mustang SVO - 9 of 18 from the Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series

Hot Wheels is alternating between 2 premium series - the Heritage Redlines and the Heritage Real Riders. This is the 9th release of the 2015 Hertiage Redline series - the '84 Ford Mustang SVO (CFN74). I like the colors chosen for these releases - the Redline cars remind me of 70s era Hot Wheels in their coloration. This is a great casting with nice detailing.
