I picked this up because I liked the looks and didn't realize it was a Treasure Hunt until I cracked it open. Score!

Hot Wheels BMW 850i (24107) from 1999 Mainline
Adding some of the older Hot Wheels to my collection, and I picked up this at a flea market, carded, for 2 for $1. Wheels could be a little nicer, but I like it over all. This is Collector #1093.

Johnny Lightning's 1979 Indy 500 Winner - Rick Mears' #9 Penske/Cosworth
Here is the companion piece for the '79 Ford Mustang Pace Car - number 9 Penske/Cosworth driven to victory by Rick Mears.
Johnny Lightning 1979 Ford Mustang Pace Car
The JL version of the 1979 Ford Mustang Indy 500 Pace Car. I have been lucky in finding these as I wasn't collecting when they were originally released.

Dragon Wheels - Volkswagen dragster by Matchbox
Slowly building up my collection of Matchbox Superfast models. Here is #43, the Dragon Wheels. Pretty good shape for its age.
Johnny Lightning 1998 Corvette Convertible Pace Car (casting #735)
Wanted to get this up before Memorial Day to commemorate the race, but work and home life intervened. I'm trying to collect all of the Johnny Lightning Pace Cars, and I think I've got most of them. Here is the 1998 Indy 500 Pace Car, a Corvette Convertible.

Johnny Lightning 1933 Willys Gasser in USA Racing livery
Another recent die-cast show find - Johnny Lightning's 1933 Willys Gasser in USA Racing markings. It is casting # 156, and is a real beaut.

Hot Wheels Time Attaxi (DHP23)
New for 2016 is the Time Attaxi. I'm usually not a huge fan of "fantasy" models, but this one works for me. The door that opens is not the best engineered feature, and it detracts overall. The tampos are neat, and appear to be a accurate depiction of a Hong Kong Taxi sign. From the card back: "Specialty: The clock is ticking, you're ready to break the record, AND you've got passengers that need to be dropped off at the airport! The Time Attaxi will get get you where you need to go, but be prepared for some jaw-dropping, high-speed drift action on the way!"

Matchbox Superfast - Maserati Bora (No. 32)
Matchbox released a version of the Maserati Bora (No. 32). I found this one in pretty good shape at a recent show. I like the Matchbox models that have working parts like the doors on this example.

Yat Ming Thunderbird (#1008)
At a recent die-cast show in Noblesville I picked up some Yat Ming die-casts that were promotional give-aways for a leasing company. Each came in a small tube, similar to a mailing tube. Here is the Ford Thunderbird by Yat Ming. I could very well be wrong, but I'm guessing that this is the 1974 Thunderbird (could be a '75 or '76). Hate the baby sh** brown, but really like the casting.
Hot Wheels 1961 Honda Monkey Z50 (DHP16)
New for the 2016 Hot Wheels Mainline (135/250), here is the Honda Monkey Z50 (DHP16). It is part of the HW Moto series (5/5). This depicts the 1961 Honda mini-bike Monkey Z50. From the card back: "Specialty: With its iconic vintage styling and nifty compact size, the Honda Monkey is the perfect ride to take you through the busy urban jungle; not to mention, it doesn't ape around when it comes to street cred!"

Hot Wheels '76 Greenwood Corvette (DHP88) - 2016 Mainline
From the Mild to Wild segment, here is the '76 Greenwood Corvette. I really, really like this version. It is flashy, as it should be. Usually I like stock version over more "tarted" up versions, but for me, Hot Wheels Greenwoods are better when they are bold and brash.
Toy Soldier set from Walmart
I picked this set up mostly to hone my skills on - see what I can do with it. The vehicles are light on detail, and have no interiors. But the whole set cost under $10, so not much lost if I can't bodge something together out of it. The play-mat has no value for me and went into the trash.
