Newest release from auto world - the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado. At $5.00, it is a nicer casting than the Matchbox Cadillac Sedan Deville. Markings look great, and the color looks factory fresh. The Cadillac emblem on the trunk lid is so well done. Glad to add it to my collection.
Modeling in (mostly) 1/72nd scale (and any other subject that catches my attention - author suffers from acute "shiny item" syndrome)

Matchbox 1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville (MB739)
Here is the latest version of Matchbox MB739, the 1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Grabbed the only I found on the peg, and wished that there were more. Per the Lamley Group, availability of the Matchbox line should be improving. I hope so, because when Matchbox has a hit with one of its models, its a real knock-out.

Hot Wheels Camouflage series - Walmart exclusive - 2nd of 6
I have no will power - after saying I was going to pass on this series, I ended up getting the other cars from it anyway. It's only a buck a pop, but it is certainly adding up. I don't love this version of the 1967 Shelby GT-500 (DFL83), but it does grow on you. Reminds me of the disruptive paint jobs auto manufacturers use to obscure the lines of their prototypes (or the dazzle patterns Great Britain and the US used on ships)
Hot Wheels '69 Dodge Charger - 2016 Mainline 91 of 250
2016 Hot Wheels are starting to appear at the local Walmarts. This '69 Charger (DHR06) is from the HW Flames segment. Not my favorite series, but if the kids like it, that's really what's important. The mainline is not geared towards me, nor should it be. I do like the smoky glass on this model, and the rims look good with the overall scheme.
Two 1965 Ford Rancheros from the 2015 Mainline (212 of 250)
The 2 versions from the 2015 Mainline - Heat Fleet segment. Both are mainline models from 2015 (212/250. Yellow is CFL99, and burgundy is CFH98.

Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series - Custom '56 Ford Truck, 8 of 18 (CFN73)
Just got this today from Walmart. Got 3 of this release (still hunting for the '70 Camaro, Boneshaker, and the Nissan Skyline). Here is the Custom '56 Ford Truck in all of its glory.

Hot Wheels 1965 Ford Ranchero from the 2011 Mainline (41/244) (T9711)
Another 1965 Ford Ranchero from my collection, and the only one I have that I really enjoy. From the 2011 Mainline, this is the debut of this casting, and it looks great. From the card back:
"Specialty: Considered by some as the precursor to the Mustang, this family favorite combines the sleek look of a sedan with the utility of a light duty pickup. Load it up and hit the road!"

Johnny Lightning Speed Racer 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo Stock Car
Here is the Mach 5 as a stock car. Who knew? Might actually watch NASCAR if the cars were equipped with autojacks and saw blades.

Hot Wheels 1967 Chevy C10 - 2015 Mainline (208/250) (CFH94)
Got this at Meijer (I know that because it's the only local store that sells the short cards). Still working on organizing the collection, and am still working through the pick-ups. Need to get the 2013 casting of this as it is more stock-like in appearance, but still like the overall look of this version with the flames.

Hot Wheels 1965 Ford Ranchero from the 2014 Hanna-Barbera series - The Jetsons (BDR90)
The '65 Ranchero from the Hanna-Barbera series, this one commemorating The Jetsons. Really like the wheels on this model, and may try to snag some more just for the wheels.

Hot Wheels 1965 Ford Ranchero from the 2012 Nostalgia series - Aquaman (W6664)
I am a fan of the Ranchero, and Hot Wheels does a nice job on this casting. Wish the hood was more stock, though. I got this mostly for the casting and the wheels, not really being a fan of the tampos. I got this early into my Hot Wheels obsession, when I was buying anything that caught my eye. I'm trying to be more discerning now, as my collection has exploded.

Hot Wheels 1963 Studebaker Champ
A trio of 1963 Studebaker Champs.
First up is the 2011 Mainline edition. Really like that the tires have tampos, too. Sharp little model. From the card: "Specialty: With a cab based on a sedan body, this light-duty pickup helped pioneer the concept of car-like comfort combined with rugged mechanical durability. And, it's fully loaded with style."

Hot Wheels Chevy Silverado - 2015 Mainline #249 of 250
Here are a pair of 2007 Chevy Silverados from the 2015 Hot Wheels Mainline. Part of the 2015 Then and Now segment, this casting was originally released in 2007.

Greenlight's Will Power Indy Car
Here is Greenlight Collectibles' model of Will Power's Indy Car. The real version has a chassis by Dallara and the engine is from Chevy. The Soldiers and Sailors' Monument is a resin casting I picked up this past summer. Not to scale, but iconic of Indianapolis.
Hot Wheels Cool Classics series 2 - #29 of 30, the Subaru Brat (BDR50)
The Subaru BRAT from the Hot Wheels Cool Classics series 2. This was the 29th car of a 30 car series, and is finished in Spectrafrost paint. I also have the Boulevard and the 2015 mainline versions of this casting, and each one is a little gem.

Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series 1949 Ford F1 pickup (3 of 18) (CFN68)
Probably my favorite casting of this series, here is #3 of 18 from the 2015 Hot Wheels Heritage Redline series, the 1949 Ford F1 pickup (#CFN68).
1987 Toyota Pickup - Hot Wheels Cool Classics Series 2
Here is the 2nd release of the second Hot Wheels Cool Classic series, the 1987 Toyota Pickup (BDR31). The Spectrafrost looks great on this.

Johnny Lightning 1968 Dodge A-100 pickup
I've had this casting for a while, and I can't seem to find the original packaging. In researching the model, I think Johnny Lightning sold it as both a '65 A100 and a '68 A100. The yellow is a little much, and I prefer the Matchbox version, but still a nice addition to my collection.
Hot Wheels Custom '69 Chevy pickup from 2015 Walmart Happy Easter series
This model was released earlier this year as part of (yet another) Walmart exclusive. This was a 6 car series released to coincide with Easter. I got a few of the castings, mostly as potential donors or customs, as the the tampo is far too pastel. The '69 custom Chevy (CFT98) is a nice casting, and this blue could look good with different wheels and no flames.

Hot Wheels - a pair of Dodge Ram 1500s
Shown with and without the camper shell. The earlier casting, the red with camper shell, from 1998, actually looks rougher than the 2006 casting. The passenger side, especially, looks like it has auto-body filler. First is the mainline version from 1998, Collector #797.
Hot Wheels Toyota Off-Road Truck from the 2015 Mainline (CFK67)
Here is the Toyota Off-Road Truck. It has also been released as the Toyota Baja Truck. This version is 120 of 250 from the 2015 Mainline, HW Hot Trucks series (item CFK67). It is based on a '90s Toyota Tundra T100. Looks rugged.

Hot Wheels Walmart Camouflage Series - 1979 Ford F-150 pickup
Just picked up 3 of the 6 from this series, including this 1979 Ford F-150 pickup (DFL82). Out of the 6 castings offered as part of this series, this is the only model that 'works' as camouflaged. I got the '68 Chevy Nova and the Rodger Dodger more because I like the casting than the paint job.

Blastous Moto - Hot Wheels Cool Classics series 1
I got this more to complete the series, as I normally don't collect motorcycles. Here is the Blastous Moto (Y9425), third out of thiry from this series. A cute little 3-wheeler, the Spectraflame paint and the decals work nicely on this casting.
